Meet Liz

Professional Home Organizer and Chief Chaos Calmer

Hi there, I'm Liz.

I started Pretty, Organized Spaces because I find a real sense of calm and joy in places where things feel organized and uncluttered.

Over the years I've learned that there is a real art to creating systems that help people successfully manage their possessions and homes. What works for me is not necessarily the system that will work for you. Together we will work out something that takes less time and emotional energy for you to maintain. That will free up your day to spend on the things that are really important to you.

I especially love to work with neurodiverse clients. Those of us who are neurospicy really benefit from homes that are clutter free and streamlined. I can help you get there! And you don't have to purge everything to do it!

If you are ready to get the chaos under control give me a call.

Neurodiversity and Organization

Why is it important to chose an organizer who understands Neurodiversity?

Our ability to organize our possessions and homes and the way we interact with them is very much controlled by the way our minds work. People who are on the spectrum or who have ADD often struggle with executive functions- organizing your stuff is pretty much all executive functioning! Someone who can understand the challenges you have can better design systems that use your natural talents rather than working in opposition to them. There's no point in putting things beautifully in drawers if that means you forget they exist!

Neurospicy people often have very different emotional connections to their stuff. The idea of purging can be very threatening or feel incredibly overwhelming. Let me take you gently through the process so you feel confident and in control at all times.

All my client work begins with talking about how you like to live in your home. How you want to feel and what changes you think might help get you there. There are always lots of different ways to display or contain collections and stuff. We just need to find one that's a good match for you.

What to Expect

My aim is always to leave you with a more functional space that feels good and is easier to maintain. So our first meeting I'll ask lots of questions;

  • What's the space you want to work on?

  • What do your do in this space?

  • What isn't working for you now?

  • How do you want to feel in this space?

  • How involved do you want to be in this process?

From there we will develop a plan to get you what you need!

When you first start trying to get more organized it can feel daunting and overwhelming. But it doesn't need to be. I have a lot of fun when I work and you will too.
